How To Make Kulfi At Home



Kulfi is one of traditional creamy dessert India. It is similar to ice cream but it is denser in texture. It has different varieties. Most popular ones are cardamom, saffron, and pistachio. This is one of the tasty and healthy recipes for children. Also, it is the best dessert in summer and It is easy to make if you know the correct procedure.

                   You can make this recipe in two ways. One is with ready-made condensed milk. This simpler way to make kulfi. In another method, we make our own condensed milk and prepare kulfi. This is somewhat difficult than the first way but the taste is the same in two ways.

KULFI WITH READY MADE CONDENSED MILK

Ingredients required for kulfi are
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Sweet-less condensed milk – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped cashew nuts – 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped almond -1 teaspoon
  • Saffron – pinch

PREPARATION

  1. To make kulfi with ready-made condensed milk, first, you have to Heat a heavy bottomed kadhai and add milk to it.
  2. Then boil the milk under high flame.
  3. Once the milk starts boiling, then reduce the flame and add condensed milk to it. stir it well to reduce scraping and burning of the milk.
  4. Then add half a teaspoon of cardamom powder and sugar to it.
  5. Stir the milk and sugar until it becomes a thick liquid consistency.
  6. Finally, add chopped almond, cashew nuts, and saffron to it. Stir it again to mix the nuts in kulfi.
  7. Then stop the flame and let it cool for some time.
  8. Pour the kulfi cream into kulfi mould and keep this in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then keep the kulfi moulds in a water bowl for 5 minutes to remove kulfi from the mould.
  9. If you don’t have kulfi mould then you can also keep kulfi in a glass and put a wooden stick at the center of the glass and keep these glasses in the fridge.

KULFI WITH HOMEMADE CONDENSED MILK

Ingredients required for kulfi are
  • Milk – 1 liter
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped cashew nuts – 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped almond -1 teaspoon
  • Saffron – pinch


PREPARATION

  1.  To make kulfi with home-made condensed milk, first, you have to Heat a heavy bottomed kadhai and add milk to it. 
  2. Increase the flame and boil the milk. Once the milk starts boiling, then reduce the flame and stir it well to reduce scraping and burning of the milk.
  3. Stir the milk until the quantity of the milk reduced to 1/4 liter under low flame.
  4. Then add half a teaspoon of cardamom powder and sugar to it. Stir the milk and sugar until it becomes a thick liquid consistency.
  5. Finally, add chopped almond, cashew nuts, and saffron to it. Stir it again to mix the nuts in kulfi.
  6. Then stop the flame and let it cool for some time. Pour the kulfi cream into kulfi mould and keep this in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. 
  7. Then keep the kulfi moulds in a water bowl for 5 minutes to remove kulfi from the mould.
