Making own kajal is very good for healthy eyes. Some people feel itching and pain in the eyes due to a bad selection of the kajal but they don't think it is because of the kajal. They think the problem is in their eyes. It is due to impurities in the market products. Most kajal products add a lampblack to get black color and add petroleum jelly to get the thickness. These ingredients cause many problems such as itching, redness in eyes and sometimes it increases the eyesight also.
So it is always better to prefer homemade kajal. The homemade kajal makes your eyes to cool and corrects many eyes problems. If you prepare it once then you can use this for a whole year and also it is easy to make if you pay a little amount of concentration.
Required Ingredients
- Pure castor oil
- White cloth
- Pramida
- Copperplate
- Pure sandalwood powder/Betel leaf
- Green camphor
- Cow Ghee
HOW TO PREPARE:
- To make traditional kajal, first, wash copper plate and clean with a cloth. keep this a side where the place is clean and there is no dust in that place.
- Now take sandalwood stick and make sandal water from it. Otherwise, you can also use readymade powder but it is preferable to use a stick instead of readymade powder. Keep this sandal-water in a clean bowl.
- Another alternate for sandalwood powder is betel leaf water. To make betel leaf water, take 5 leaves and make a fine paste of the leaves and then filter the water from it. Keep this in a clean bowl.
- Now take the cleaned copper plate and apply sandal water or betel paste water to the back side of the plate.
- Take a castor oil lamp with a white cloth as a thread wick.
- Now make support in U shape with the help of bricks so that you can place the oil lamp in the middle of it and place the copper plate on the support to absorb the fumes of the oil lamp.
- Place all the arrangement in a dark room and close all the doors.
- Once the fumes are coming from the oil lamp then pour some water on the top of the copper plate. The water starts boiling slowly because of the oil lamp.
- Wait for two hours to complete the process. Meanwhile, add some oil to the oil lamp and water on the top of the plate if required.
- Now take a plate and remove all the kajal powder from the back side of the copper plate then wash the plate and clean with a cloth.
- Now pour all the kajal powder into the copper plate and add a pinch of cow ghee.
- Mix both ingredients with the help of copper spoon if possible. Otherwise, you can also mix with a spoon.
- Then add green camphor to it and mix it well. Remove all the kajal from the plate with the help of a knife and store this in a clean box.
- Make sure that your hands and all the things should be clean throughout the process.
- Apply the kajal with clean hands
