Amla has so many health benefits for hair, skin, and health. It helps to heal so many diseases. In this post, I want to share how to use amla hair oil for hair and how to make it. Also, how to apply for better results.
Amla itself contains essential fatty acids, vitamin c and rich in antioxidants. The fatty acids help to strengthen hair follicles and vitamin c helps hair from premature graying. Massaging this oil on the scalp helps to increase the vision. It acts as a good conditioner for hair. So let us keep a look at what are the benefits of using amla oil for hair.

This amla oil can be made in three ways. The difference is making amla powder. You can make amla powder on your own or you can buy ready-made amla powder which is available in the shops. Otherwise, you can make amla paste instantly without powdering by making a paste of amla meat and heat with coconut oil. This method of making is not good and also it is not fresh for a long time. So, I want to share the traditional method of making amla oil.
Ingredients required for making amla hair oil are,
- Fresh amla
- Coconut oil
HOW TO MAKE:
- First, take fresh amla and remove the seeds in it and keep it aside,
- Now make small pieces of amla meat and keep it under sunlight.
- Keep the amla pieces for two to three days till the color changes to golden brown.
- Now take a kadhai and add on a cup of coconut oil for one cup of amla pieces.Also, add the seeds to it.
- Heat the kadhai and keep the flame low. Wait till the oil changes to gold color and also check all pieces settle down to the bottom of the kadhai then switch off the flame.
- Cool it to room temperature and strain the oil using a strainer.
HOW TO APPLY:
- For any oil, Massaging the scalp with oil is very important for effective results. This will increase the blood circulation so that the hair grows fast. To do this, heat the oil in indirect heating.
- Take hot water in a bowl and Amla oil in another bowl. Keep the amla oil bowl in hot water bowl to heat the oil.
- Take the oil with fingertips and massage it with a circular motion for five minutes.
- Keep it overnight and wash your hair in the morning with shampoo. Follow this procedure two times in a weak for better results.
TIPS:
- if possible, Use herbal shampoo for better results.
- Don't heat the oil directly for massaging.
