How To Make Vegetable Pulao At Home


Vegetable pulao is a yummy and simple recipe. It is the combination of rice and vegetables but it is not spicy as other biryani rice. This is a healthy recipe. The pressure cooker pulao is very less time taking and rich recipe. I make this pulao when there is less time and want to eat deliciously recipe. This is the best recipe for weekends. Enjoy this recipe by following the procedure.

Ingredients required are
  • Potato - 2 
  • carrot - 1
  • Onions - 2
  • ginger - 1/2 inch
  • garlic cloves - 4
  • cashew nuts
  • Green peas - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Ghee - 1 tablespoon
  • Pudina - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Basmati rice - 2 cups
  • Milk -  two cups
Masala ingredients are
  • Cloves - 3 no
  • Cardamom seeds - 2 no 
  • Biryani leaves -2
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 inch
  • Sajeera - 1/2 tablespoon

HOW TO PREPARE:

  1. First, wash basmati rice and soak it by adding two cups of water for half an hour and Cut potato, carrot, and onions.
  2. Make a fine paste of ginger garlic.
  3. Now place the cooker on the stove and add oil and ghee to it.
  4. Add all pulao masala ingredients to it. Saute it till they crackle.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste and saute it till the raw flavor goes out.
  6. Now saute cashew nuts, onions, pudina leaves, coriander leaves, potato carrot, and green peas one by one. Saute for a few seconds.  
  7. Now add basmati rice to it and add milk to it.
  8. Wait till the water in the cooker starts boiling and then add required salt to it
  9. Close the lid and wait for 2 whistles. Now the Pulav is ready for serving

TIPS:

  1. Add little amount of salt when frying onions. This will help to saute the onions fast.
  2. The basmati rice and water ratio is 1:2
  3. Replacing half quantity of water by milk can increase the taste of the recipe
  4. You can also add bell pepper and other vegetables to increase the taste
